Probably not the best kept secret for a variety of reasons but big old Chestnut trees around the Dandenongs (Kallista, Olinda, Monbulk, The Patch) do occasionally produce Boletus edulis – the classic Porcini / Cep. After years of hearing whispers about various locations – particularly The Patch – we were lucky enough to happen on this specimen:
